On Saturday, January 29th, 2022, the world thought Tom Brady had retired. Later in the day multiple reports have spoken out, including Brady’s father, who said Tom Brady has not officially made up his mind about retiring. We do believe that Tom Brady will retire as he is 44 years old and has played in the NFL for 22 seasons. What we believe is that Brady will retire after free agency starts on March 16th. This is because we think Brady will sign a one day contract with the Patriots and retire as a member of the New England Patriots. Tom Brady was drafted by the Patriots in the 2000 NFL draft with the 199th pick in the 6th round. Brady spent the first 20 years of his career with the Patriots and helped them win 6 Super Bowls, along with winning 4 Super Bowl MVPs and 3 MVPs. Brady leaving the Patriots to go to the Buccaneers left most Patriots fans with a sour taste. In his first year with the Bucs, he led them to a Super Bowl, while also winning Super Bowl MVP. In his second year with the Bucs, they won the NFC south, but lost in the divisional round of the playoffs to the Los Angeles Rams. 6 days after his loss, his retirement was thought to be confirmed, but was then retracted about 2 hours later. Brady signing a one day contract with the Patriots, to retire as a Patriot, would have Brady’s reputation as not only a Patriot, but as an NFL player at a high.
